Why Tuscany?
Founder of Toscana Holiday Homes Felix Stewart first fell
in love with Italy
in 1997 when he first travelled to the region of Marche, bordered by the Adriatic Coast in the east and Tuscany and Umbria in the west.
"Of course I knew of Tuscany
and Umbria, although I had never been to either and had never even heard of Marche."
"All that rapidly changed and I know spend as much time as I can enjoying the landscapes and the history of all three. Tuscany, Umbria and Marche are similar but so very distinctive.
"Together they form the heart of Italy and boast some of the most stunning scenery to compliment their wealth of art and culture and history.
"Today my love of central Italy
is stronger than ever and I still wonder at its people and places
- the beautiful medieval towns, rolling hills, secret valleys
and miles upon miles of beautiful coastline - and its strong
traditions and superb
cuisine.
"Having fallen in love with the area I introduced it to my brothers and sister, who are now regular
visitors with their families. |
